Honestly? Shoutout to those of you who are completely fucking lost in life. Those who don’t know what they want to do with life. Those who are stuck in a certain part of life and can’t get out. Those who are reaching for dreams they feel are impossible to reach. Those who feel like they’re accomplishments are being overlooked. Those who feel like their enough just isn’t enough. It is. You can make it. You will make it. There is an opening at the end of the tunnel.
Pretending to be Normal by Liane Holliday Willey is a memoir of a woman figuring out she’s autistic after her child was diagnosed with autism.
Though she doesn’t use the phrase “self diagnosis,” it’s essentially a memoir about her self diagnosis process. It has a forward by autism researcher Tony Attwood, who was supportive of Willey’s self diagnosis. There’s a note where Willey expresses that she’s not interested in professional diagnosis at the time of writing.
This book was published in the 90s. Acceptance of autistic self diagnosis in our community isn’t new or exclusive to tumblr. And lo and behold, it hasn’t harmed anyone!
If a person learns about autism and thinks “that sounds a lot like me and would explain a lot of my experiences and struggles” that is not hurting anyone. Not even if they decide not to pursue a professional diagnosis. If you’re pretty sure you’re autistic, you’re not hurting anyone by saying “I’m autistic.”
We don’t usually do this sort of thing, but since we are committed to the safety of trans woman/trans lesbians here at disabledbutch, and since this is a popular blog, I thought I would make this post.
Kenzie @/lesbianhoneys is a terf/radfem/gender critical feminist/transmisogynist/whatever term you prefer to use.
“But wait”, I hear you saying, “shes never gone right out and said that she doesn’t think trans women are women” and you would be right! however, she has decided to come right out and say that she is a radfem, and reblogs from people like:
and people with descriptions like this:
and has posted many times that she “doesn’t care about the op of the posts (she) reblogs”, not to mention plenty of obnoxious lesbian seperatist rhetoric.
No this isn’t about her anti makeup posts or her hating men, which I’m sure some supporters will say it is. I also see her reblog from people with “terfs fuck off” in their descriptions which is really just heinous and disingenuous at this point.
So I’m asking you to please block her and her girlfriend @/holidykes, and to reblog this post to let others know that this fairly popular blog is a transmisogynist. (Side note, please don’t send her hate, not because she doesn’t deserve it, but because it will be blamed on trans women and used to incite violence against them)
if any terfs feel the need to come to her defense, please feel free to instead block us! fuck off.
Hey guys, just popping in with a quick addition, she is apparently out of crypto-terf territory and is now saying/rbing shit like this
So, again, remember to spread this post, block and de-platform, and always remember to keep a sharp eye on the people you follow.
Also if you think this post is about “hating lesbians” both mods on this blog are lesbians, and not even “”“libfems”“” at that. Thank you again for giving this post such a widespread response.
